Liverpool council leader backs Wirral Waters scheme

The leader of Liverpool Council, Cllr Joe Anderson, has thrown his support behind the 18m sq ft, £4.5bn Wirral Waters project ahead of Wirral Council's planning committee meeting next week to decide the project's fate.
Cllr Anderson today met Cllr Jeff Green - his opposite number at Wirral Council - and Peel Holdings' development director Lindsey Ashworth to offer his support to the scheme
